Tampa Bay Brewing  Company was everything I feared it would be.  This place was like a TGIF or Applebees version of a brewery.  The beers were bad; all of them.  I gave it a fair share by ordering a flight of six different styles.  On the plus size, I thought the presentation for the flight of beers was terrific.  They can customize flights to be just one or two to about a dozen.  Not only were the beers labeled, but they were placed on a special tray that told you all about the beer.  Even the tap handles were quite creative.  All of this was very clever but it could not save the beers from the poor quality that they were.

I sat at the bar and every seat was taken around me.  I was flabbergasted that there was only one person serving everyone at the bar as well as preparing drinks for all of the servers waiting tables.  She was good, but Tampa Bay Brewing was asking the impossible of her.

TBBC had a large food menu.  Of course it’s not fine dining and more along the line of a chain restaurant, but the food wasn’t bad.  All in all, this place is a tourist delight, but not a top spot when it comes to locating quality craft beers and breweries.
