I ended up at Urban Comfort because I was trying to visit as many breweries in St. Petersburg as possible.  Yelp listed it as a brewery.  As you walk up you see their giant brewing tanks out front.  I thought that was a unique area to have them.  I was excited to try this brewery’s beers.  However, when I went to order, they explained that they are not a brewery yet.  Unfortunately, in my limited time in St. Petersburg, I had wasted my time coming to a place that was not really a brewery…yet.

Despite my disappointment over being tricked into thinking this was a brewery, I still really enjoyed the vibe here.  We sat outside at long communal picnic tables.  There were about ten beers on tap and none of them excited me.  I ordered a beer because we were already here.  I loved that the beer was served in a mason jar!  Gotta love that!  They also had an awesome breakfast/brunch menu, but I had already eaten because I thought this was a brewery and didn’t know they served food.  But the menu certainly looked worthy of a repeat visit.

Out front was a brand new shuffle board area.  It looked amazing and I was stoked to play some shuffleboard as I drank a beer, but they explained that it was newly paved and we couldn’t play on it yet.  So, a brewery?  Not yet.  Play some shuffleboard?  Not yet.  I guess I’m going to need to come back the next time I am in town.
