What is not to like about a beer festival?  Tons of beer and people that just want to have a good time.

I guess I shouldn’t give away secrets, but if you go to a beer festival without a VIP pass then you’re doing it all wrong!  VIP entry to any festival is worth it just for the sheer fact that you have access one hour before the general admission.  This hour entry is key as once the plebs enter, there are long lines for beer and in some cases, the beer runs out.  During VIP there are no lines to wait in.  They are ready to pour your next glass before you have finished your current one.

Sprung takes VIP to another level with two options:  Beer Socialite which allows entry one hour early and VIP which allows entry 90 minutes early.  Again, a no brainer decision!  The VIP section was terrific with its own set of beer selections not available to the masses; not to mention gorgeous girls pouring them!  And although other reviews discussed portapotties, VIP has the comfort of air conditioned bathrooms.  And lets not forget about the free food and shaded seating too!

The festival itself was great.  Honestly, I had already had 95% of the beers being offered at the festival so despite Spring needing to offer a fresher selection, the festival is still so much fun especially enjoying it with the SFLHops beer crew.  They had over 70 people from their group on hand.  it’s a great way for people that don’t have anyone to attend with to link up with.

Sprung was a terrific opportunity to sample tons of beers from our local breweries and home brewers.
