Ok, it may not be the same Moon Tower referenced by Mcconaughey in Dazed and Confused, but if it is good enough for Wooderson to declare “Party at the Moon Tower” then you need to be there.

This was by far my favorite beer bar or brewery that I have been to in Texas.  They’re kind of everything all rolled up into one.  First and foremost I would say this is a beer bar.  They have tons of craft beers on tap.  I would easily guess that there were at least 50 taps.  In addition, Moon Tower also dabbles with some occasional brewing of their own.  When I was there they had the perfectly named Kim Jong Ale.  That might be one of the best beer names ever!  Depending on what night you go, you will find various specials.
One of my favorite aspects of this place’s originality was that they are an outdoor establishment.  Sure, this must suck in the winter, but I was there in March and it was still terrific.  There is even a huge outdoor section that you can reserve for your own parties.  The outdoor setting gives you that beer garden vibe and with big picnic tables, it’s fun to interact with strangers that join you at the same table.  Being able to drink outside is like having a tailgate party with great beers whenever you want.  If only this tailgate served food!  And they do!  So what more could you ask for?

Moon Tower serves a surprisingly delicious, gourmet style of beer/bar food.  All of their bites are wonderful additions to a glass of beer.  Many people will brag on the hamburgers, but their wild game wieners are a must.  You can find burgers anywhere, but the wild game fare is unique and utterly scrumptious!  How about options like elk with bacon and cheddar?  Or duck with vino and foie gras?  Or rabbit with bacon and wine?  Or venison with blueberries?  Or buffalo with peppers and Mexican spices?  If this isn’t amazing enough then try it on a pretzel bun!

At the Moon Tower you will find some of the best beers, food options and a chill vibe.
