Hi-Wire presents my favorite atmosphere for a brewery. Maybe that was because this was as authentic of a brewery as you can come by. First, they don’t serve food. For many, this will be a negative. But, I have found that true, genuine breweries do just beer. Really good beer. But don’t let your stomachs despair because you can order delivery from the restaurant immediately next door.
In the meantime, Hi-Wire provides complimentary popcorn which serves its purpose as a palate cleanser for trying a variety of beers. It felt like the beer was in a gigantic warehouse or garage. Plain, simple, bare bones and terrific. It had the essentials, brew tanks, lots of beers, a foosball table and an old school Nintendo. One overlooked beer at a brewery is a brown, but you can find one here. The prices for a pint is unbeatable compared to a local bar.
